There is something you should never do with DRY ICE .....

You should never handle it with your bare hands, because it is 109 degrees below zero and will burn your skin just as if it were flaming coals.  Gloves are always recommended when handling dry ice.   If you forget and burn yourself, the treatment for this incredibly cold product is the same as the treatment for a conventional burn.

Here is an unusual home remedy for burns that might help you or a loved one somedayWe've been told that this treatment of burns is being included in teaching beginner firemen.

First aid consists of first spraying cold water on the affected area until the heat is reduced which STOPS the continued burning of all layers of the skin.  Then, spread beaten egg whites onto the affected area.

Egg white is a natural collagen.  If the burn is severe, then continue to add layers of beaten egg white as the previous layer dries thoroughly.  In this way, there will be no pain and almost no trace of a burn the next day.  A burned area may regenerate thanks to the collagen in the egg whites.

I haven't had occasion to use this home remedy yet, and I'm thankful for it.  If anyone reading this article has occasion to use the egg white home remedy, we'd be interested in your feedback.
